For those dealing with any chronic situation whether it is a disease, pain, a relationship or a financial situation, perseverance is vital. I have dealt with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) for over a decade now.
I have prayed for healing and sought many remedies but I still struggle with the effects of the disease. (You can read a bit about my story here). One lesson I have learned is how to endure and persevere.
Honestly, there are times that it would be easy to give in, have a bad attitude and complain but the Holy Spirit showed me that there are no victims in the Kingdom. We are seated in Heavenly places with Christ Jesus and have all the heavenly blessings. (Ephesians 2:6).
There is no room for complaining. When Jesus healed the man at the pool of Bethesda, the man laying on the mat did not complain or even question Jesus when Jesus told him to ‘Rise, take up your bed and walk’, the man just got up and walked (John 5:1-8).
Paul says in Romans 5:1-5 that tribulations produce perseverance which produces character which produces hope. Paul also says in Philippians 3:12 that to press on to lay hold of those things that Christ has for you. Today, I want to encourage you to continue on this journey to find hope. Continue in your pursuit of Jesus and continue in things that are ahead toward the goal of Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:14).
Your enemy wants you to quit. Satan is defeated and wants you to feel defeated also. But remember you have a Living Hope in Jesus Christ. Jesus said that in this world you will have tribulation but be of good cheer because I have overcome the world (John 16:33).
Hang in there! Stand on the Word and remember that you have been born again into a Living Hope (1 Peter 1:3). Remember you can Rise, take up your bed and walk!
Thank you for making the way for us to overcome. Thank you for enduring the cross to be seated at the right hand of the Father so we can be seated in heavenly places with You. Help me to endure, help me to lay down all that entangles me so that I can run the race that is before me with endurance. Lord, teach me to endure and persevere. I want to rise, take up my bed and walk today. Thank you for begetting us again to the Living Hope in Jesus! I want to rise, take up my bed and walk today.
Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin.

There is hope for you!
